10 January 1994
First day of the second semester for Matt. I woke up around 4:00 and again at 6:00. Decided not to wake Matt up to go running.
Around 10, I went riding around town. Downtown & "uptown". Saw a couple of interesting photo possibilities. Went to a photo store, bicycle store, discount book store, dive store, office supply store etc. that I saw in the phone book at Wheaton public library.
It started snowing around 1:00 and on til 5:00. I enjoyed riding in it.
Ate at Taco Bell. 4 soft tacos. I see college students everywhere.
Went back to the dorm.
Shannon got a new TV (with VCR included). Its a Daewoo which is a constant source of humour. We went to Best Buy with Rob to get an adaptor to attach Shannon's speakers. He saw a Samsung there that he likes better. He wants to exchange it. Rob is great. He is a good driver (of Geo's anyway).
Rob is rearranging his room (with his roommate). Shannon found a key to our room that he had lost. He gave it to me.
This morning Matt had gone to class (8:00). I left to use the toilet. Shannon left to go to class and locked the door behind him. So I could not go in. I was only wearing my socks, climbing pants, and Tshirt. So I knocked on Todd's door (the RA) to use his key. He never answered. Maybe 15 minutes. Still no response. Dave came out of his room to shower. I told him my story. I was still waiting when he finished showering. He suggested I try the RA on floor #5. I did. No answer. #7. No answer. Back to #6. Now the door to Todd's room is open. I go in and wait. When he comes in I introduce myself and my story. He looks dead to the world. he saus it looked open to him. I leave and the door IS open. Later I talk to Dave and he says he saw Todd in the bathroom and asked to use his keys. He went and got them and unlocked the door while I was still waiting somewhere. I don't think Todd even knows what happened. He incidentally has La Crosse equipment in his room. Nice.
Shannon rented First Blood and Hot Shots Part Deux. We saw FB at 10:00. Matt studied someplace else. Went to bed at 1ish. Matt said that he and Leslie and others were going to play in the snow tomorrow morning around 10:30. I am invited.
